After graduating from Rutgers University in NJ with a degree in Visual Arts, I wasn’t sure what to do with it. While interning at a NYC magazine, I became familiar with the mysterious world of food styling, and instantly knew I had found my niche -- a career that blended my love for great food with my background in creative arts. After some research I discovered a unique Food Styling apprenticeship in Los Angeles, and was awarded the sought-after position. I trained under Lorraine Triolo, highly regarded Food Stylist and Creative Director of Picture Arts/Foodpix Productions.
After completing the six-month apprenticeship, I was thrown head first into the world of freelance. I quickly recovered by assisting many of the top stylists in Los Angeles, who were all amazing mentors, and shared the tricks of the trade with me. Eventually I developed my own style, which I brought back with me to the east coast.
Current clients include Fine Cooking Magazine, Bon Appetit, Life Magazine, and USA Weekend. I have also worked as an assistant on national advertising campaigns for Burger King, Pizza Hut, IHOP, and Dreyers Grand Ice Cream, as well as cookbooks for Jacqui Malouf and Suzanne Somers.
I'm currently living in NJ and am available for work in NY, NJ, PA, & CT.
